Orthodontics
Orthodontics is for everyone!
Orthodontics is the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of the alignment of the teeth and jaws. Essentially, undertaking orthodontic treatment is the process of straightening teeth. Having straightened and properly aligned teeth also lowers your risk of of tooth decay, gum disease and TMJ disorder. Aside from the health benefits, it’s also a beautiful accessory that can improve your self esteem and not having to worry about crooked or crowded teeth. There are two main methods of orthodontic treatment:
Braces: the most traditional method to straightening teeth. We offer services in ceramic braces, metal and coloured braces and lingual braces.
Invisalign: the more modern and convenient approach to braces. This involves a series of clear, removable teeth aligners that is to be changed regularly when your teeth begin to move into position.
Orthodontic screening is recommended by the ADA for children between the ages of 7 and 10 years old. If needed, orthodontic treatment usually commences in the early teen years. However, orthodontics is definitely not just for teenagers! It is also important for adults to consider orthodontic treatment because teeth can move around at any age. We have had numerous adult patients undertake orthodontic treatments and they are all extremely satisfied with the outcome of straight teeth!
